His best-selling album was his celebrated 1963 collaboration with John Coltrane. The Boston concert presented here for the first time ever must be considered an essential addition to Johnny Hartman's discography. Taped from a radio broadcast at a Boston Jazz club called the Merry Go Round on February 24, 1976, this is the first known recording of Hartman since his 1973 album I've Been There. The next entry in his discography being his October 1977 live set at the Sometime Club in Tokyo.
