Well, it looks as though after many, many years and many, many miles, we have finally finished our family's premier musical album. It is called 'MEET THE FULCOS'. It started back in 1996 when Joei was born and Vanessa and I thought it was time to start a family. We were living in Franklin/Nashville, TN. Two years later, Joei sang her little heart out with Dad Joey on stage at a restaurant in Neuchatel, Switzerland, called 'La Gondola'. Soon it was 1999 and we were now in NY, on Long Island and Jesse was born in a town called Huntington. It took him a few short years, 5 to be exact, to really show a passion and desire to play the bass guitar. It is interesting to know that before Jesse started playing the bass, he had a hearing issue that was heartbreaking. We watched this little boy struggle to get the words out. Then GOD stepped in and sent us an Angel and Teacher named Judy Breese. We felt that a heavy load was lifted off of our hearts as Judy worked countless hours with Jesse. She used a few simple ingredients; love, knowledge, tenderness, humor, dignity, along with a work ethic that was/is just insane! She "fixed" him! That all happened in and around 2002 and 2003 in a small town upstate New York called Walton. Next, in 2003, it was Stevie who was born in Walton, NY. Somewhere along the road Stevie picked up the nickname: Little "GG". GG came out singing and dancing, all with a raw, take no BS attitude. It was shortly thereafter that we found ourselves in Switzerland where our fourth child, second boy, and little drummer was born in 2005. Tyler is the only one of our kids who can never be president of the United States. Being born in Switzerland offers that advantage, LOL! So the years fly by and we start a silly family band. Yes, like The Partridge Family. People laughed, pointed fingers, and all the haters came out of the woodwork after we found our way onto ABC's Wife Swap. A show that has little to do with reality, but paid a nice sum of money for a family of 6 musicians trying to keep a roof over their heads. It just happens to be in heavy rotation to this day and is one of the most seen Wife Swap episodes. That show was recorded over 5 years ago. At any rate, we kept our eye on the prize and kept on playing. That prize is spending time together as a family and having fun playing and creating our own brand of Rock n' Roll. Words can't explain what it's like to play music with the same DNA members. We laugh, cry, fight, eat, drink, create, record, play, travel, reminisce, and do all the same little things that most families do together. No different there. So we started composing songs that the world, as we know it, may never hear, but we chose to record them anyway in hopes that some people may find a tune or two that they really enjoy. We decided it was cool to put 16 songs on this album to show some history and not the normal 10 or 11 tracks that most albums are comprised of. Did we overdo it regarding the amount of tracks? Probably. But what is the industry gonna do, sign us? Hahahahah... It's a cool musical journey as far as we see it and worth a listen. Joei went through many vocal changes and has grown from a little girl singing her heart out, to a fine young professional singer songwriter. In reality, we have all gone through many changes that have made us not only better people, but more understanding of the world around. Yet amidst all those changes, there is definitely a constant thread that engulfs this album and all it's history. For those that read this to the end, thank you so much for the interest and support. For those that couldn't be bothered, thank you as well! We're selling this album, not as electronic downloads, but as a good ole fashion CD album that doubles as a coaster! If anyone cares to purchase a copy, just shoot us a FB message and we'll send details. Peace! We love you all! Yes, even you! The Fulcos.
